Reading Power fans on Twitter last year and this year is equally confusing. Brining in Motlop, Watts & Rockliff last year on good money was responsible list management. Now in the last 48 hours, their fans are saying letting Wingard go is responsible list management because no one is bigger than the club (asking for more money).

So Watts, Motlop, Rockliff, McKenzie, Trengove & Thomas is responsible. Retaining Wingard is irresponsible. That's some loco logic.

Yeah you would.....but the release only repeats Sam Power's comments on Trade Radio, which re-iterates Chad hasn't decided yet.

Can't figure out if it's just off the wall odd and counter productive or really promising. Hope this doesn't fly in the face Chad's IG post about not trusting any statement not from him or his management and potentially alienate him.

I can’t see that our statement would alienate him, we’ve merely confirmed we are interested with a pretty stern poker face. There has been no comment on whether he is likely/unlikely, We haven’t said we’ve spoken to him or that he has sat down with coaches or toured the facilities (ala Buckley), and (frustratingly for the fans) no real concrete evidence that anything will happen.

Monday can’t roll around fast enough.

Barrett's take on it. I will say it again, he's a smart cookie. A very stable genius:

          Port Adelaide

          If:
Wingard wants to talk in riddles on social media ...

          Then:
Fine, that's his right. As readers of this column know, he's one of our favourites. But, Chad, work your stuff out, mate. Get on with life. You're clearly not happy, you wouldn't be talking to clubs if you were. So get outta there.

The club statement isn’t inflammatory - that it exists might be given Chad’s cryptic social media stuff

What am I doing indulging in this? Back to my safely pessimistic hole

Incredibly stable. One of the stablest genius' I have seen.

All the doctors commented on what a stable genius he is at the symposium.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

The club wouldn't be stating its interest so soon unless we are confident that we can get the deal done and that Wingard is interested in coming here.

                  Yeah but also this:

                  Adelaide

                  If
you take the view that you've got nothing to lose ...

                  then
throw a Hail Mary at Chad Wingard.

The sort of player you want on your list. One who doesn't mind hugging somebody close just to watch the life drain out their eyes.
