Re: Early Trade Rumours for 2022

Paddy Dow has let Carlton know he would like to explore his options and test the market.

I wonder how may players will change clubs this year?

I wonder if Hunter would want to go to North? He might be tempted by it.

North need to say to Port we want pick 8 and your future 1st or pick 8, a suitable player and your future 2nd.
Would Drew be forced of being a regular player out if Horne Francis was to arrive?
Port can just hold their ground and wait a year. North are in a terrible spot.

My mans was sleeping in his North Melbourne jumper the night he got drafted. Really doubt if they put the question to him he would've answered it honestly anyway.

In a heartbeat. Not sure what happened to him in the second half of last year, but he is a class player when he’s up and going.

Not really because it's not like they will finish that low on the ladder and in the back of their mind it increases the risk that he will settle in.

Dodoro has said Essendon are very interested in Bowes and said they had been tracking him for a while and think he could be a big mid for them.

IMO they're in a great position entering this draft.

Out of contract trade would be cheaper was where I was heading.

They might finish low too !!

                    Falling out with Noble.
                    He's apparently training already

His end to 2021 was fantastic, best being a 23 disposal 4 goal game against Carlton playing through the midfield. I don't think he will be an accumulator but is class.

This year he got injured early and then I understood it to be family issues and lack of support (sound familiar) which affected his training standards and he was subsequently dropped a few times.

I think we could definitely get him below market value.

I'd be happy to add class. We have accumulators.
I don't think North trade him, it's not like they'll be short of picks this year

Yep his back half of the season in 2021 was top shelf for a rotating mid-forward.

His game against us in 2021 he caused some headaches with his work around the clearances. I remember thinking he looked like the second coming of the Bont with the combination of clearance work and low penetrating kicks into the forward line.

Would be thrilled to see him land at our doorstep.

Norf ignored the risks prior to drafting him, so him flying the coup was always on the cards and they need to live with it.

His attitude stinks and I'd have moved him on for two first rounders which is what they're going to be forced to do anyway. Norf need a lot of quality, not just one or two elite players and going to the draft with multiple first round picks is the way to get those quality players.
                            TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

                              Dockers Stand Firm on Lobb

Fremantle's head of list management and player personnel, David Walls, has faced the media to pour cold water on any hopes the Western Bulldogs might have of luring Rory Lobb to Victoria.

"We've had some conversations but we've got no intention of trading Rory," Walls said.

"A 206cm key forward who kicks two goals a game and can go through the ruck, they're very hard to find. We expect Rory to be with us next year. He's a professional, and he'll be able to come back and work with us and we'll support him to have a repeat of the season he had this year."

Walls said Lobb had shown after his failed request to move to GWS last year that he was able to put disappointment aside and play good football with the Dockers.

Walls flagged Fremantle's interest in Gold Coast pair Josh Corbett and Jeremy Sharp, but said the Corbett deal would have no bearing on Lobb's future.

"I can't see how Rory won't be playing for Fremantle next year," he said.

Asked what would tempt Fremantle to deal Lobb to the Bulldogs, Walls set the bar high.

"Naughts (Aaron Naughton) and Bont (skipper Marcus Bontempelli)," he said with a laugh.
