McNeil, for the love of God, carry this form into the regular season. Don't tease us like last year
I know it’s only a praccy, but geez it’s good to see some young ones do well. McNeil’s been good for a while now except his goal kicking accuracy, so if he turns that around wowee, we’ve found our small pressure forward.

Very early in first qtr Dolan was working around the pack and his evasive skills piqued my interest, that and the ninja rundown tackle in qtr 2 plus his evident speed are exciting. And Davidson, apart from being bumped aside in a marking contest in qtr 1 due to his light frame, has been terrific.

Naughts, Darcy, English look good together too. Seem to be staying out of each others way.

Lobb continues where he left off last year.

Was it JOD that took that cracker contested mark (I think in Q2)?

And Libba just keeps on keeping on.

Garcia ok, albeit a bit messy. Sanders pretty good.
        Josie :)

          Very impressive 1st half

Are Hawthorn missing many best 22 players

They look ordinary and flattered by the scoreboard.

Surely they improve in the 2nd half

Loved not Lachie McNeil's goals but his tackling and cannoning into opposition players has been wonderful.

Hope he really puts his name up, I’d love to see McNeil, Dolan and Arty round 1 as our front half smalls. Would be ballsy but so much upside

Did not expect Davidson to be BOG at half time but here we are.

Great signs for the kid. Surely plays round 1 now.

McNeil is a lock too with Weightman out.

Sanders solid but I’d really like to see him rip a game apart at this praccy level soon

Two KPFs (Lewis and Dear), but that's not where the game is being won and lost. Especially considering we have our two best mids and our no 1 goalkicker from last year not playing.

Beautiful weather and the crowd is starting to increase. We should be 5 goals up and we really are dominating.

Nice to see Cleary doing well.

For those at the ground, is Duryea playing higher up the ground? Appears to be on TV. Could just be he is following whatever forward he is on.

Im not sure yet to be honest, I definitely think he has 150 games as a decent inside mid at minimum. That’s worst case scenario IMO, we’re yet to see any real star factor as to why he got drafted so high but he’s shown that in training/VFL I guess.

I do sometimes think people expect too much from 18yo ‘ready made’ inside mids, they expect them to dominate straight away cos they already have some size but realistically it’s probably one of the harder positions outside of KPP. You’re instantly up against battle hardened 27yos. So many times people expect them to go well early and it takes some time - see Trac, Raynor, LDU etc

I like him, I think he’s got it. Just want to see some signs soon at the next level

He's played loose a lot. Hawks are sending their smalls up to the contest and it's often Duryea who's sagged off as the loose. Similar role to last year.
