I kind of get this but when Harmes played half-forward he didn't do that...he wanted to get his own footy rather than play the role he was being asked...that's why he ended up back at Footscray. Being able to do it and actually doing it are just not the same.




Well, McCreery plays that role so you're saying he's an 'A-grade' player...and that's fine (you can only be judged based on your role)....and Hayward is a much higher impact player (or has been) ball in hand so....

With the list, you said the mids are slow and ageing, the forwards are either no good or ill-disciplined (you singled out Weightman) and the key backs were no good now Jones is out. Now you're saying the club has done well at the draft but they still need pieces...what pieces.

Disagree on this we don’t know what role Harmes was ‘asked’ to play and he played alongside VDM so wouldn’t be playing that role. He also only went back to the 2s cos he pulled a hammy from memory

Feel like we're missing Jones. The Hawks mids and half forwards sag forward out of the contest and lose our defenders way too easily. It just looks a bit ragged and disorganised.

Davidson looks great. He's doing a huge amount of work on that wing.

Cleary is going for his kicks finally!!! It's the only way he makes AFL has to hit that inside kick.

Something to work with with Gags back, needs to sort out his kicking - he’s technically a good kick so dunno what his problem is, decision making? Only young though so got time to sort it - I love his speed coming through off the back of the pack.

most involved I’ve seen VDM he’s everywhere at the moment, which iis good to see him getting involved. Bloody sloppy though but it’s an improvement
