Who would have imagined pre-season that there’d be general angst about Laith missing a month of footy? Been a good start to the year for him. Let’s hope he gets back and keeps it going.
Park that car
Drop that phone
Sleep on the floor
Dream about me

I have had a good chuckle over the last few weeks he has been out - he was number one whipping boy last few years.

The penny has dropped for a few. He's always picked when fit - that should be the indicator!
So if VDM is out, and Weightman, Garcia and Harmes are all unavailable, we have quite the problem with depth of high half forwards this week and how to curb the massive Sinclair and Nasiah threats. Do we consider Gallagher playing a negating role on one of them just for this week? I know he hasn't trained with the forwards but he has the athletic profile and speed to potentially do this for 120 minutes. Otherwise the cupboard looks pretty bare.
McNeill and West is not enough IMO - we need another soldier down there. I rate Dolan but I don't think he can do it for the full 120 minutes (he still plays this week for mine, possibly as the sub), and Hynes isn't quite ready yet either.

Gags probably plays better when being led to the ball. It's not the craziest suggestion.

He might break the world record for free kicks conceded - he's pretty reckless at the best of times.
I'm worried one of SInclair or Nasiah (or both) really gets off the chain this week. I'm sure the match committee have focused heavily on these two match-ups and which magnets to assign to them (McNeill gets one).
I think JJ gets the job to run with Sinclare , and it wouldnt surprise me if Baker comes back in and gets the negating roll on Nasiah , so we might have a case of bevo not wanting to tag anyone , to having two guys tagging in the space of a week , because if we let thoes two guys run and carry we are in trouble , its crucial we either break even with one or both , pressure will be the key with the ball carrier , if thoes two are allowed space and time to deliver the ball without pressuring their kicks it spells big trouble for our back 6 .

Surely West gets one of them? He's shown he can play the role well.

Agreed but if West is taken away from that small forward roll his been playing and has to concentrate of stoping one of the two StKilda guys then that leaves us horribly short in the forward line , i say let West do his thing and l;et the two St Kilda guys been some elses problem .
At the game Freijah appeared to be playing mostly high half forward at Norwood and I imagine that's where he is likely to be again. He's another candidate for a negating role.

West has already been playing the role though. He often goes to the most dangerous rebounder. We're not taking him away from anything.
Bevo isn’t usually one to give players just one game and then pull the pin so it’d be hard to imagine JJ and Coops get dropped, so for me it may simply be Haynes out, Bont in

Yup and his goal out put has suffered , i want him running into spaces and having backmen run after him , not him chasing forwards , but as they say opinions are like butts every one has one .
