After last night this is the 23 id go in with for round 1. Cleary Davidson and McNeil have to be picked after that performance and I also thought Arty got the nod over Garcia but it's a flip of the coin
    Looks solid.

However, no Harmes is a bit of a surprise given his role/performance last night and feel he will play.

Also feel you have one defender too many so it's probably one of Gallagher or Duryea.

While I believe Coffield is going to struggle for games he can play on some different opponents than Cleary can. Cleary is more or less giving us some coverage for the smaller and mid sized opponents and Coffield hasn't got the run in him to do that.

Agree Cleary has been reliable in the games he has played. Just hasnt been able to get into the best 23 as others ahead of him.

I would have Harmes in ahead of VDM. Harmes is reliable with ball in hand and can run through the midfield if needed. Usually a good kick for goal

If the question is Gallagher or Duryea in the side the answer is not Gallagher.

Duryea plays if fit even if Gallagher also gets a start.

Who have we “ran over” to have such bad luck.

missing our captain Marcus, Liam Jones, Dale, Duryea, Richards, Cody and JJ. These guys would be walk ups in almost every side.

this is not what Bevo or the club need to start the year.

I wonder how soon Joel Freijah will get some work on ball? Probably the best 19 year old we have had since Bont and has all the attributes to play midfield. Basically our Ed Richards replacement so he could go on ball but it might be something to watch over the season. He is very young still but one more midfield injury and it's hard to not see him being next man up. Cleary played well and Gallagher (who wasn't great vs hawks) could be ok cover.

Okay, Bont is out. I am sure everyone is gutted.
Injuries happen, sometimes in clumps, and the high-performance team may have pushed a little too far into the red, it happens, the show goes on.

                  Backs:
                  Bramble - JOD - Duyrea
                  Dale - Lobb - Freijah

                  Outside: Williams - Davidson

Inside: English - Mennedy - Libba - Richards

                  Forward:
                  McNeil - Naughton - Harmes
                  VDM - Darcy - West

                  Int: - Dolan - Sanders - Gallagher - Garcia

                  Sub: Cleary

In the Mix: Karmis -Jaques - L Kennedy - Buss - Dolan - Hynes - Gardner - Cleary

                  Relevant Injury: Marra - Trelor - JJ - Weightman - L Jones - Bont

Not considering A. Jones as in the mix?

Good Spot, Mate. I swapped him and Garcia about 5 times. Just a mistake.

I know Dolan has made an impression, but cloning him is a little premature isn’t it?

I know he hasn’t trained there all summer but with Bont out, I’d like to see Bailey Williams in the middle and Freijah take his wing.
"I'll give him a hug before the first bounce and then I'll run into my pack and give them orders to rip him apart."

Let’s not throw out an entire preseason of planning because of a few injuries.

I’m confident we can fill the void in the middle with Libba, Sanders, Kennedy, Harmes, Garcia and hopefully Richards over the first 5-6 weeks. (This is still a very good midfield group)

Both Williams and Freijah have important roles to play in the positions they’re currently in.

It could be a consideration but it shouldn't be a serious one. Libba, Richards, Kennedy, Sanders, Harmes, Garcia and maybe Gallagher should be able to cover for a few weeks.
Locking down our wingers is a real important part of our structure.

So are you putting Buss or Buku at full back? The former has shown no evidence whatsoever that he's ready and the latter doesn't have the skill set nor the height to play that role out of the square.
