Also, there is usually an option on forums whether you want the page posts to be newest on the top of the page, or bottom of the page.
I like the new format but I think your suggestion will improve it. Personally I prefer to land on the most recent comment, otherwise I spend a lot of time finding it.

It’s more convenient to go back in time only if you want to.

Regarding the next unread post and going to the last post then this is because the following is happening

      image.png
If you click onto the WOOF update link (Highlighted in yellow and on the right of the image) you will go to the last post in that thread not the first

The better option is to click onto the unread post in the board you want to review and then click on to the down arrow option which will take you to the next new unread post in that thread for you. I've highlighted both options in Yellow.
If you click the thread title (on the left) it will take you to the first post in that thread.

      Hope this helps.

I'll do something similar for how to reply to multiple posts in a thread because there has been a slight change to what we previously had.

        I picked a good time to have a week off didn't I ?
Really happy that that site has been freshened up and we have a very sturdy mobile phone and tablet experience. Let me give a big thank you for everyone concerned.
It will take me a few days to really get across it all but now was the right time to get this done.

I've been using the tab up the top NEW TOPICS

Under the old WOOF, the button was called New Posts. Now we have New Topics. Personally I preferred the old way.

I love the fact that there are multiple ways we can access new posts.

Most people don't embrace change that well but with the old VB version 4.2.5 we may have only got another 12 months out of it.
I know you frequently (and rightfully) requested we fix the issue with the character challenge we had when content was copied over and many others wanted a better mobile phone and tab experience.
Making the change to VB6 was the best option to address some of those challenges. I did repeatedly warn people that we would lose some features but gain some others. Give and take.
I also offered members the opportunity to review how the new site might look and perform and to provide their feedback to help us when we went live and unfortunately we didn't get a lot of interest in that.
Hopefully in another week most of the members would have found their way to best navigate around the forum and as people call out their challenges I'll see what we can do to fix it.

GvGjr take a bow. Looks good. Gaps gone too. Easy to navigate & easy on the eye too. The (go to) unread posts is a good feature. Thanks for your magnificent efforts. Woofers need to make sure you never buy a drink at a game or WO, ever.
                  Josie :)

Thanks Josie, there is a bit more to do but it was always going to need a bit of time and patience from all of us.
The guy that performed the upgrade for us did a great job and I even joined a VB forum a couple of weeks back and they have provided some excellent advice.
We need to unearth some new members willing to make a contribution to discussion to ensure it's worth keeping the forum open and the constant feedback was that we needed an improved mobile phone and tablet option for members. VB6 is a vast improvement on what we had.

I was missing the activity stream just out of habit and then I realised the notifications are the way to go.
You'll find a way to make it work BAD.

Nah it's the same thing, just in a different spot. You'll get used to the slightly different name.

One thing that would be great if it's an option is a setting for a dark mode. I found the old site more muted and calming with it's pallet so being able to to switch to a darker theme would be nice

Gary, mine doesn't look like that.

I have to click on the circled bit for it to drop down and then click on new topics.
