Re: Bulldog Only Trade News 2021
Possibly the need to have the open list spots as detailed by Soup earlier in this thread:
We currently hold onto picks 23, 44, 45, 52 and 93. They only work for points though if they are actual draft picks (ie. we have a list spot allocated to them). If we add 43 to those picks we need to find 5 list spots to use them to match Darcy. If we take 55 and 58 we need to find 6 list spots to make them useful.
Basically it saves us delisting a player.
I haven't done the actual maths either, so 43 might mean we don't have to use 52 or maybe even 45 on Darcy. That means we wouldnt have to delist a player to activate them and could trade them out for future picks or to upgrade a different pick. Basically 43 vs 55/58 could mean one or two players not delisted and a future third or something coming back our way next year vs nothing.Comment

HOW TIGERS CAN HELP PIES LAND LIPINSKI
Richmond is taking aim at Collingwood’s pick 27 but the touted deal depends on the Tigers securing a trade with North Melbourne for Robbie Tarrant.
It’s understood Richmond is willing to bundle up selections 38 – the free agency compensation for new Sun Mabior Chol – 42 and 47 to acquire what is currently the Magpies’ top pick.
That would give the Tigers an extraordinary five picks inside the top 30, while Collingwood would have almost 500 more draft points to match a bid for father-son prospect Nick Daicos.
Those three picks could also be used to end the stalemate with the Western Bulldogs on Patrick Lipinski, who wants to wear black and white next year.
The Pies have already been heavily involved in pick swaps this week, including most recently sending No. 22 to Fremantle on Thursday for 27 and a future third-round selection.Comment

Re: Bulldog Only Trade News 2021
Trying to find a compromise on Lippa.
Dogs: Pick 36, 48 - 804 Points
Woods: Lippa, Pick 44 - 362 Points
Dogs Net: 442 Draft Points
Lippa valued at =Pick 39
Dogs: 2,217 Draft Points. With other possible moves. Getting TOB, Darcy and 2022 Picks in Tact currently.
Leave them 2,151 Points. Trading down pick 27 should get them to 2,400 for Daicos. Secures Lippa & Kruger too. Their 2022 First in tact.

We added McNeil, Scott and R.Smith as rookies and we delisted JT, Suckling, Hayes and Cavarra and then add back in Hayes and Cavarra.
I know we traded Lachlan Young for Martin and brought in Hannan and Treloar.
Did we delist enough players last year?Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

We used 6 picks in the draft to secure Ugle-Hagan 29, 33, 41, 42, 52 and 54 and the only other player we drafted was Bedendo at 55.

FWIW a well connected BF poster reckons that if Freo can snag a trade of Lobb to the Giants, then they will go hard at English with a long term $$$$ deal. The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.Comment

Re: Bulldog Only Trade News 2021
Maybe but only if he is a good chance of being fit. Until this year he has been durable. He's also a good kick and I wonder if he capable of working with Naughton to make him a better set shot goal kicker.
With Bruce out for a fair chunk of the season it will be interesting to see how we might set-up the forward line and if we trade for an experienced player. Could a low cost option like Casboult be in the mix for a one year deal?Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

Re: Bulldog Only Trade News 2021
He's one of the few players available from other clubs I'd consider. With Bruce being unavailable for most of the year he'd be an excellent replacement. I think that Hawthorn would be asking for more than we'd be willing to give up for him. They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment
