He made the VFL team of the year and is out of contract. Good skills as well
Worth a look. Also are there any quality key backs in the WAFL or SANFL, the likes of Comben, that we could look at?

While it's a bit of a bonus we are looking at an upgrade and depth in the back line so to be honest the age part isn't a huge consideration for me at the moment.
He's been in the system for 4 years and has racked up a heap of games at the VFL so he's got 'some' experience behind him.
Serong is stuck behind a few others at the Hawks so he might look at Bramble and see he could have a good opportunity with us.
I hope we have reached out to him.

Robertson is the definition of shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic. Why are we bothering with him?
We don't need an extremely limited "Defensive Midfielder"; we need everyone to do their defensive bit and improve positioning when needed.

Budarick makes great sense, whether he is instant best 23, or puts pressure on JJ, Bramble, CLeary ect, and they all drive each other to be better, it will be a win.
But let's not convince ourselves he is Worrell in waiting.

Hmm I think he's better than that and I think having a group of committed soldiers for us is a good thing.

He's been starved of chances, so I'm willing to give him a crack.

We probably thought the same re Harmes and he's been pretty good.

From what I’ve seen he’s Duryea’s replacement, better defensively than Bramble, quicker than Cleary. He might be the one JJ is waiting on

Do we think Harmes is best 23 next year still?

Harmes had runs on the board in his career except the last year he was with Melbourne where he was injury effected and not picked. Roberston to date has played very few games, although he played 16 from memory in 23 and was pretty average. Maybe he is better than I think, but what role does he play?

I posted an article in the draft watch thread a few weeks back about Ryan Eyers from Werribee - 199cm 22 year old rated as one of the best mature age KPD prospects this year.

What do you mean by the likes of Comben?
