So they're trading out of their position, not rebuilding via the draft.... Great minds...

Of course it's just speculation until it happens. They're linked to a few players and I hope they go the way you suggested. Grabbing players from other clubs and trading out draft picks is the best way to rebuild a club. Throw everything at these players Saints.

They did it last year too, trading dwon two first round picks for Lee & Hickey respectively.

I guess they are taking young players who can still play alot of footy for them, but you don't get many A graders outside the first round of the draft.

Have heard either Selwood or Shuey want to come back to Melbourne. Have also heard that Ryder & Crameri are 2 that are wanting out at bomberland.

Would love to get Shuey. Saw a lot of him as a junior at Bulleen, he was in the same team as my son. He gives 100% and is a natural footballer. I'll get my son to tell him to come to the Dogs.
My son beat him in the leagues votes tally btw but he's lost to futsal and basketball.

They were after the Collingwood Brown as well. He just re- signed .

It looks like Saints will pimp DelSanto out as a FA if the AFL make it worth their while, so they could possibly get pick 4 if the AFL reward them.

They COULD get Kelly with 3, trade 4 for Patton (GWS take Scharenberg) and we get 5... No Patten, Kelly or Scharenberg...

I wouldn't think so^^
Dal Santo's not a free agent ( another year of a contract) and he has a clause that he decides whether he goes or stays. Even if he was a F/A at best it would be an end of first round selection.
I think he may end up at Norf for a second rounder

Must have got a bum steer. I read somewhere he was a FA and the Saints were waiting to see what the AFL would indicate his value to be.

Why were we expecting a second round pick at best for Coons yet Dal is worth a first rounder? Surely only a second at best for dal

Damian Barrett (Yes I know) reported that Addison is fielding offers from several clubs as a free agent.
