No sauce or gravy for me. I let the quality of the meat do the talking. If anything some mustard on the side.

Good choice. "On the side" is definitely the way to go.

            Re: Pubs and Bars

I like a red wine jus with a steak that has good char/ bark, mushroom with one that doesn't. If I am having a mid-week protein fix then I go with a selection of mustards on the side.

Garlic butter is great as well.

Had a steak at Pelican's Landing in Willy on Saturday. They cooked the steaks in peppercorn and it didn't hit the mark for me. You should only salt steaks.
            TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Yes you should have control over the flavour.

Red wine "yus" you can not beat.

Entrecote has a great steak guide I'll try and find.

My wife has her psych practise near Bistro D'Orsay on Collins you can't beat that for a nice piece of cow.

I didn't realise in French it means Rib Eye or Scotch Fillet until recently! A cut from the rib area.

I'm not interested in a turf war, I just can't believe you two philistines didn't know what entrecote means.

Imagine not knowing something as simple as that.
