So.….I heard this tune at Room 680 at a prog gig/rave in 2003 and it popped into my head a few times over the last six or so months and I just couldn't shake it. The DJ who played it was an amazing guy from Holland called Lucien Foorte……...I'd seen him three times at high profile raves (i.e. closing 2004 Two Tribes at Rod Laver Arena - completely cooked) and he always played amazing sets...….but as time went by, he got worse and worse...…

But out of chance, I decided to ask him about a specific remix of A Flock of Seagulls...…..that he played in 2003....and he delivered. Here it is Woofers, it's amazing!

I'm old enough to remember the original (loved how the guy playing keyboard only ever had one key to press). In fact I reckon I was doing year 11 at the time. I might have even seen AFOS play live, I can't remember if it was them or Human League-it was one of them at those Rocktober gigs that 3XY used to put on in the early '80s. I do remember that the Numbers (five letter word) were the support band because I had a bit of a thing about the singer.

I just am so obsessed with this tune......we used to play it on our technics system, as I've probably said earlier my mum has amazing taste in music and sound quality and for a family of our socio economic level we always had sound covered compared to more well heeled families (as far as the now middle eastern suburbs are concerned of course!).
