It's hard to pigeon hole this tune into a particular style. All I know is that if you played it at the wrong time at a bush doof it could probably induce mass stabbings on the dance floor.......
James Holden was a pioneer of the more minimal sound, and a true believer in not being good unless you've gone completely up your own arse. I respect him for his convictions.
But of all the electronic tunes I know, this is the one that still gives me chills/ shivers when I hear it. There's nothing like it, there won't be ever again. It's a masterpiece and I love it.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

In actual fact if you do a deep dive, they're a pretty interesting band. Joe Talbot the lead singer is a really deep thinker and touches on a heap of issues that resonate with me.
