Re: What song always puts you in a good mood?
There is a legend that the footy club bought a pub for him and his two brothers back in the mid '90s on the understanding that he'd come and play with us. From memory it was Charlie Sutton's old pub The Albert a couple of blocks from the footy ground.
Of course Lewis stayed at the Swans while his two brothers ran the pub...They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

It really was.
Edmund Hillary is the most famous person I've met.
Tell me about Neil Armstrong - I reckon that is untoppable."It's over. It's all over."😎 1Comment

He's had a long history fundraising for Firefighters and be was in Australia and had a meet and greet with a heap of us. He was very warm and friendly and his real persona was very different to the goofball persona.

I loved dad's "that astronaut bloke" description. You mean the first man to walk on the moon dad?
Dad once said that if I came to an ALP meeting that Gough Whitlam might be there and I could get to meet him (knowing that he was my idol) Not only was Whitlam there but he bowled up to the old man and shook his hand, addressing him by his first name and then pointed at me and used MY first name saying "this must be that son you're always telling me about." Another time I got home from work to find dad, Bob Hawke and the local member sitting at the dining room table chewing the fat! They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.😎 1Comment

Yeah I'd heard that too. Who knows, maybe we were just getting another version of his persona? Either way he was very nice to me so on a personal level I've only got that to go on."It's over. It's all over."Comment

It sort of tallies with a fairly famous Australian actor who happened to be a neighbour of mine. In my experience socially he was a sensational bloke who couldn't do enough and was terrific company. But a couple of people I have spoken to (one works in TV and one in movies,) who work with him professionally both say he can he one of the most difficult people in the industry. They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

I've read that is mostly on a professional level and he doesn't suffer fools gladly on set.
