One of my favourite band's at the moment is GHOST. Their new song taken from the upcoming Halloween Kills movie.

Here they are in a suitably pretentious concert setting, but don't mind that, just check out how amazing they play together with their regular band members and how tight the music is:

Note how amazing the drummer is, super talented and happy. And the main guy on the guitar playing cords on the bass and all shit across different types of string.

Interesting. You don't often see/hear bands with just a bass player and no guitarist. Occasionally you see two bass players with one playing lead and one playing rhythm (Ned's Atomic Dustbin, the Cure around about the time they released Primary and Walk on the Wildside by Lou Reed has two basslines) or no bass player at all (the Doors didn't have a bass player Manzurak played all the basslines on his organ) but just a bass player performing the twin roles is very unusual.

Bobby Darin - Beyond the Sea always cheers me up. I can't compete with Jeemak and his amazingly esoteric groupe house français, however Entrecote played the French version one night on a special occasion and it always gets me and the better half waltzing around the kitchen.

One of my favourite films is called Funnybones. Jerry Lewis stars as a comedian with a son who is chronically unfunny but tries his best to be a stand up comedian to please his dad (Jerry Lewis delivers one of the best soliloquies I've ever seen in a scene with Oliver Platt). La Mer is played at the start.

It's a terrific film. Some of the old music show acts that are shown and Lee Evans' performances are amazing. Jerry Lewis is sensational.
