Re: What are you watching at the moment

Pelecanos must have gotten hold of a thesaurus written by Raymond Chandler early in life.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Yep, I can see that. A bit more recent than Chandler perhaps.

Finished watching Making of Murderer tonight and highly recommend all ten episodes. You need to subscribe to Netflix, well worth the $10 a month.

Watched that over the weekend bad. I love a conspiracy so this was right up my alley and i highly recommend it. Has to be seen to be believed at the corruption of law enforcement over there. The blood in the car takes the cake for me, amazing what you can get away with over there if you have a badge.

The judges and judicial system haven't exactly covered themselves in glory either. Some of the stuff they allowed to be introduced as "evidence" beggars belief. Those detectives who conducted the interview with the nephew should be ashamed of themselves intimidating and planting ideas in the head of a 16 yo developmentally delayed boy.

And the DA and the sheriff who persecuted the initial case. Explain to me why they shouldn't be charged with being accessories to the two rapes that the guy who committed the offence that Avery was found guilty of afterwards? They knew for a fact they had jailed the wrong bloke and that the actual rapist was still at large and would continue to offend.

Couldn't agree more twodogs but in the end the jury found him guilty in both cases, no idea how they could possibly come up with that verdict.

I think Avery did commit the murder, but the nephew had only a small part to play. I am guessing the nephew was forced to do what ever he did as he was scared of his uncle. He doesn't deserve to be put away for that long.

Can't remember if we discussed it but did you watch a similar programme on Netflix on Robert Durst? If you enjoyed this one you would enjoy the Durst documentary - The Jinx - The life and Deaths of Robert Durst.

The only people I have seen intimidate and threaten the nephew Glassy are Michael O Kelly, the man who is trying to turn him against Avery because that's the simplest way to win the case and Special agents Fassbendern and Wiegart, who have now interviewed him for over 7 hours without his lawyer present. The real criminals in this case in this case-the ones who have perverted justice and suborned perjury are the DA Kratz and Sherriff Petersen. Hopefully when the real truth comes out (and you can never stop the truth) they will cop theirs.

It might be more convenient to believe Avery did it but I don't think he did. Remember Lindy Chamberlain?
