    MLB post season

Well it's on again, October baseball, and even if you're not a fan of the summer pastime, it's gripping .
I know a few of you have teams not featuring Hello Redsox, Yankees.
Hopefully my mets having won the nl east can have a major say this post season.
The cubbies just had a wonderful performance on the road in the wildcard playoff with the Pirates .
Jake Arietta was just outstanding, not issuing a walk in a complete game shutout .
The mets don't win it, I'd love to see the Cubs do it, as espn will have enough material for about for 20 docos.

I spent all of yesterday on an Internet blackout so I could watch the Cubs game without knowing the result. So great to win a sudden death game like that and get to move on. Arrieta is pitching historically well and if anyone wants to see a ball hit with exquisite timing watch a replay of Kyle Schwarbers home run which cleared the outfield bleachers. The playoffs in general should be loads of fun with some unexpected teams in there. This has been an amazing year to be a Cubs and a Dogs fan.

The Astros defeat the highly fancied Kansas City Royals
They lost 100 games for a few years, and rebuilt their roster.
It's great seeing lower payroll clubs in the post season.
The Astros strike out a lot, and probably not sustainable in the post season .

I'm very happy for the Cubs. They're my NL team of choice. Wasn't happy to see John Lester move there, but all's fair in love and war. I was ecstatic to see the Astros knock off the Yankees, but I've got to say, I'm hoping KC get there this year.

KC and the Cubs are my two horses.

Cubs lose to Lackey ( great in the post season) Lester's great, but gee he doesn't want to field, and in fact he goes out of his way to avoid it .
Mets take the Dodgers Jacob De Grom outstanding .
I'll watch the other games bar The cards ( don't like them, touch of the hawks about them)

It was uncomfortable as a Red Sox fan watching two former Boston pitchers putting on an exhibition like the one yesterday.. Lester is, in my opinion, the better pitcher of the two. One's playing for a club who are (as was rightly pointed out) a Hawthorn, whereas the other is playing for the WB equivalent.

Dodgers beat the mets, but the talking point has to be the dirty cheap shot from Chase Utley.

Just watched a bit of Game of 3 Cards/Cubs at lunch - loving this series as a relatively new Cubs fans (since watching Catching Hell a few years back)

Yes Remi the post season is not the same without my beloved tigers there but so far has its been an exciting post season. I've been on the Royals and think they are the team to beat. Was watching a bit this morning and left for work after the Astros big 7th inning and though the Royals are done and then get to work and they were up. What a game and what an error by Correa.

Good luck with Cubs Underdog, great results this morning and set a record for the HRs in post season history. Could be the year for the Cubs underdog, especially if you cast your mind back all those years ago to Back to the Future II.

Enjoying the amount of offense we have seen so far in the post season, that and the Yankees getting what we all knew was coming.

Surely this needs to be taken out of the game. They took the catcher blocking home plate out of the game, this needs to be next. Its a horrible look for the game.

It's got worse now with the base runner going over the bag, he should at worst be sliding before the bag.
                        It's plain interference , simple .
Back to the post season, and the mets offense sure sprang to life .
Wonderful seeing the Cubs leading the hawthorn cardinals .
