Indians pitching is destroying the Cubs.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Poor Bartman. He was one of about 10 people to go for the ball, yet because he was kind of geeky and meek looking, the crowd pounced on him.

The Cubs are just as cold as ice . Surely It doesn't end this meekly .
Miller's going to earn some major contract in the winter .
Hope they send the series back to Cleveland .

Hitting has gone ice cold. It will take a Bulldogs/Cavaliers-esque run to win now...which is only fitting.

            Believe.

Indians just playing smarter baseball. Francona has them doing all the little things that can mean manufacturing a run out of very little. Cubs just trying to get a big hit all the time. Three times today they had a man at 2nd with no outs and every time he ended the inning at second. Indians at every opportunity will advance the runner, they just make the most of every little thing.

Cubs can still do it though. The Indians weapons are Klubber & their bullpen (especially Miller). They won't have Klubber again till game 7 and the next 2 games the Cubs have Lester & Arrieta so the Cubs have the advantage there. Just need to be a hell of a lot smarter n the batters box. If the Cubs use their outs better i can see this getting to game 7. Game 7 they need to figure out Klubber though.

              How impressive is Schwarber' comeback?

Didn't Miler already sign a big deal to join the Yankees last off season? indians had to give up some damn good prospects to get him. Miller has pitched like that for a few years now. Been really annoyed as a Tigers man that we haven't gotten miller seeing as our bullpen has been a major concern for years now.

Well he did change the face of that series. No doubt about it, Alou makes that catch if there was no fan interference and from there they would seem certain to make the World Series from there. Not saying he deserves to be crucified here but he did affect the result of the game.

Has anyone else got the Mountain Goats "Cubs in Five" stuck on permanent loop in their heads?

Edit: For anyone interested, just found this article where John Darnielle talks about how "Cubs in Five" came about.

That 1-0 shut out in game 3 is a killer. Hoping Cubs can find a way.

Huge effort from Chapman with an 8 out save. Ballsy move by Madden and was rewarded. Better at bats by the Cubs and they were rewarded too.

Cubs look good tomorrow. Arrieta v Tomlin you would think advantage Cubs and Schwarber in at DH makes a huge difference to that line up. I think this will go to game 7.
