    -Marcus Harris: 393 runs at 98.25 (1 century, 1 50s) - stats are skewed by a 250*
-Tom Cooper: 392 runs at 56 (2 centuries)
    -Shaun Marsh: 362 runs at 120.66 (1 century, 2 50s).

Doolan is an interesting one. He's made some runs against good attacks this year opening the batting, but only averaged 32 in the Shield last year. He's the kind of player who gets in really hot runs of form and makes a heap of runs but goes through big troughs.

Wade is starting to make a really good case as a batsman too - he's still only 30, an experienced cricketer and averaged 43 last year.
I like Wade. Like Cam White he's a cricketers cricketer.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Thoughts on Victoria not batting Finch at the top of the order today? I think it's symptomatic of an attitude that puts trophies ahead of test cricketers.

Even worse it's like 8 different organisations pulling in different directions at the same time.

Jhye Richardson (young WA quick that has played some limited overs cricket) took 8/47 yesterday as they rolled NSW for 261. Patterson made a fighting 107*

I've lost interest in the Sheffield shield all of a sudden!

Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Matt Wade scored 63 on a day when 18 wickets fell and the next highest score was 25. I'd like to see him batting higher in the order, but I'm not sure any batsman has a better case for inclusion...

He's been very good with the bat. He might not be in the mix for higher duties but he is a very good in the Sheffield Shield

Gee Queensland bounced back today for a great win against Tassie

Michael Neser scored 76 no along with Jimmy Pierson 75 no steer home QLD

Neser has made a few hand scores from number 8 this season so far

Did anyone see James Pattinson trying to rile up Stoinis? Get a few wickets Patto before you start giving others advice

Yep. Looked like there was a bit in that.

Wonder if they weren't on good terms when Stoinis played for the Vics?

Some big scores in Shield Cricket across all states.

Charlie Wakim (Tassie) 160 on debut is a fair effort.

Just on a side note re Bancroft, did WA play 4 players who have been the wicket keepers for that state in the same team?
