You want to play 5 pace bowlers? Murphy will play for sure.

As already pointed out the hypocrisy from the Poms over the Bairstow dismissal is ridiculous. In every game I played I always made sure I remained in my crease until the umpire called over, I'm not going to just hope the opposition are good blokes.

We miss Warney. I think he?s be aggressively and bombasticly shutting down a lot of the BS from the comm box and media room. Ponting has some spunk, but Warne could go both barrels and no one seriously ghost in his way.

‘Bairstow walks out his crease and the stumps get knocked down and you all want a mulligan because he wasn?t paying attention to the first lesson of batting under 9’s get taught? Spare me. And your righteousness back in the day didn?t call back Michael Kasperwicz when his hand wasn’t on the bat and clearly not out to the letter of the law either. You lost, get better next test and stop sooking and blaming others. You want to blame, what about the declaration in the first test. Sending the Aussie?s in to bat this test. Plenty of blame to go around if you want to play the blame game. Get on with it. He’s out, you lost its 2-0.’

4 pace bowlers with support from Green but yes Murphy will play.

Bairstow got a warning a couple of balls beforehand when Carey threw the ball at the stumps and he and the England team really have little to bitch and moan about. I agree with you that you shouldn't rely on good natured guesture's from the opposition.

I find the 'Spirit of the Game' argument a bit ridiculous to be honest. Neither side is finding it a problem to bowl bulk bouncers to tail enders, so I think we can do away with pretending to follow antiquated ideals of what the game should look like.

I had no issue with the Bairstow dismissal in the same way I had no issue with the Starc catch being given not out. Both decisions were umpired to the laws of the game, and if that's not enough to satisfy people, then I don't think anything will.

It took us a while, but credit to Cummins for changing tact and finally getting out of Stokes' hitting zone. It shouldn't have taken that long, but he got there in the end. Really good performance across the board and the best side won. Can't wait for Thursday.

It sucks, but it's the rule. Move on.

Its out, but you lose your soul. Straight to hell ! Like all you mankad-ders!

The worst part for me was the (cheating, like actually caught and banned) Aussies laughing like hyenas.

                Well done.

I find it hard to like the team as long as Warner and Smith remain a part of it.

Love the socceroos. Actually anyone but the team with cheats in it.

I'm not that patriotic with sport. If I had to fight to protect what we have I would, however sport I didn't get the patriotism bug for some reason.

I can admire all teams. How did Stokes not get motm?!

I love the sanctimony! Nothing like a bit of high-horsing on a Monday morning.

Plenty at the ground cheered when Starc's catch was overturned. Duckett could have easily conceded the technically correct decision (depending on your interpretation) was the wrong one and kept walking to the dressing room - but he chose not to.

As for Smith and Warner, I went hard at them at the time and they've been punished for tampering to a much greater extent than anyone has for doing the same - and while I don't really like them, they've done their time.

While the episode in South Africa was not what we want to see, it's not like they did physical harm to anyone.

Apparently it is more acceptable to king hit someone in a pub.

That can allow you to be England captain.

It was self defence and defence of the LGBTQ community that made him smash someone in the face as that person backed away.

                            Agree re Stokes. Shocker.

I think we can all agree sand papering the ball IS NOT within the spirit of the game

James Hird has done his time too so I expect he will be welcomed back to AFL coaching with open arms on here!

Actually, I would welcome James back. I am a walking contradiction. (good song).

Reprehensible. Both the punch, and the use of the get of trouble free card.
