    Priceless.
    Those aren't real names (surely)

Has someone lifted some names from Biggles school chums.

I just said to Pat on repeat: "All these boos are for you, for your decision". And: "What a great opportunity you had to think clearly."

To Alex Carey, I said: "This is what you'll be remembered for, and that's such a shame."

It may have been a bit silly, but I also shouted "in" every time I crossed the line.

He is the best heel and hype man since Bobby 'the Brain' Heenan (and that is very high praise indeed). Everybody is now salivating for the next test.

So if it's the last ball of the over and the short leg flicks the ball at the stumps catching the batsman out of the crease would the spirit of the game dictate we should call the batsman back under BazBall ethics?

That's where the argument from Englands perspective loses some ground.
Why is it only the 6th ball of the over and the fact that the keeper is standing back that they've taken exception with?

If silly mid-on takes it on the bounce you better believe the bat awaits a clearly audible "over" from the umpire before they leave their ground.

              Glass jawed sooks.
              TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Does it also mean, often seen in T20, that you can't let the ball through to the keeper and try to pinch a single for a win?

I guess you duck a bouncer it goes into the gloves you're not running yeah.

The non striker calls the run when it goes behind.

Another analogy is that if Carey threw the ball and missed the stumps and the ball rolled to the boundary, would Bairstow have recalled the runs?

You don't run there he had marked his guard and was in between overs mode.

So he wouldn't have tried getting 2-3 runs if the ball didnt reach the boundary or claiming the 4 runs if it did make the boundary? I'm not buying it.

How hard is the keeper throwing it!

Assume Bairstow is the keeper then (which now brings a 6 into play). And also assume he is batting. This shouldn't be complicated!

Ha fair enough. It's just an under arm lob it's not going for over throws.
Why is everyone making up scenarios other than the one that happened?

Because the "spirit of the game" is completely subjective.
