Been thinking about this a bit, and reckon the FA should look at what makes the EPL a league where a certain type of player can thrive, and others can't, and bring that into their international program.
While you can't play EPL football in its entirety at cup level, you can't expect players from the EPL to play cup football without a home game or another fixture to get ahead on goal difference. It's OK in the group stages, but not in elimination rounds.
Whoever they bring in next needs to be able to strike that balance and disrupt the more technical teams at cup level with a bit more intensity and initiative.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment
