Yep, very good game last night.

I thought we may struggle as we really should have got about 160 runs after Manou started brilliantly, but after a hat-trick and 3 direct hit run outs from Tasmania 131 was looking a bit shaky.

Cosgrove (Fatman as me and my dad call him) is terrible. If he doesn't hit a boundary, all you can get is 1 run - he's sooo slow.

Tait's opening 2 deliveries just about iced the game for the Redbacks, and then some good bowling from the second tier bowlers really got us over the line, including O'Brien who took 3/15 and Christian who took 2/13.

Great atmosphere down at the (half) Adelaide Oval...good night. Looking forward to the home final!

Qld defeated NSW in the 9 over rain affected slogathon in Sydney tonight.

The winner of QLD v WA will probably finish second (unless Victoria score 500 runs) & host the Prelim Final. The loser will stay on 4 points, so Victoria can overtake them with a win against Tassie on Friday night.

An ideal result would be for the Vics to win & the QLD/WA game to be washed out!

I would play Rogers if he was fit otherwise Wade would open.

For the other spot I would play Blizzard, Finch or perhaps another attacking player from the premier league. Gulbis who plays at Carlton seems to make heaps of runs in the shorter forms of the game so perhaps he could be worth looking at.

He has been making a stack of runs for 2 or 3 seasons now. I used to play cricket with Evan, he scores very very quickly - even in the big hundreds he has made in Premier 2 day matches - he has always hit multiple sixes and scored at a great rate.

I actually haven't been excited about a cricket game for a long time.

Hopefully we break the crowd record tonight.

We really should be too strong for Tassie, with a win assuring a place in the prelim final.
