Great work by Hastings to save a six.

Rain stops play with 4 overs to go. Vics ahead by 3 runs on D/L method.

Some conjecture Hastings put his foot on the rope when saving a six earlier on. Would be the difference.

The third umpire has ruled that Hastings save was OK accordingf to Martin Love on ABC digital radio coverage.

The Queensland commentary team sound pretty happy.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

            All over.

Vics win - and you know what, I'm not caring about the how.

To win after being 3/7 feels pretty bloody good.

Theyre still going. ATM they are up to Ross Taylor being dropped-somwhow that's not Queensland's fault but part of some conspiracy.

Now they are saying there's still time to get the players out on the field.

They are back onto the Hastings catch now. Martin Love seems to think they have changed some rule (which he isnt entirely sure existd anyway) purely to disadvangetage Queensland.

This alone was worth shelling out for a DAB radio!

Luckily I didn't need DAB last night, it was live on 774.

I'd like to thank the ABC for broadcasting the game last night, but the Queensland commentary was the most one sided I have ever heard.

They couldn't get their heads around that, as Hastings was not touching the rope, or over the rope when he touched the ball, then it was not a 6.

Then they started on the fact that the game should not have finished early, that they just should have waited for the rain to stop. While we are at it, let's go back to the days of timeless tests. I'm sure their opinion would have changed had Queensland been in front under the Duckworth Lewis rules.

Enjoyed the WA v SA clash tonight.

SA were sent in & made 196. Cosgrove & Pollard amongst the runs.

Gayle started like a house on fire for WA & knocked up 40 in just 16 balls before retiring hurt with a pulled muscle in his side.

Afridi bamboozled the WA batsmen & took 4-19.

SA winning comfortably by 29 runs infront of a huge crowd.

A waste for Pakistan that he's in Australia for 20/20's and not the tests

Anyone watching NSW vs Tas? That hitting by Warner and Hughes was sensational. 96 runs of six overs before a run out claims the first wicket.
Warners 50 was off 17 deliveries.

Paine's knock is a good example of why Rogers should play. T20 doesn't suit Rogers but he has enough talent to warrant a spot in the side. He has been a very strong ODD bat for the Vics. We have really struggled to get off to decent starts in the FRC this season, the T20 CL and the game against Qld. I think Rogers would help out.

How so? I don't see the link between the two players.

Nice to read Smith bowled with confidence and control even if it's only a 20/20

Who would you drop to fit him in? I can't find a spot for him and he just doesn't suit that style of cricket.

From the little I have seen of Smith I don't think control is a problem, it's the ability to bowl enough wicket taking balls in the extended version of the game.
