Apparently Lambert is a lifelong Liverpool fan. His story is pretty unique to with him only starting EPL football at the age of 30 who can begrudge him a move to a team playing Champions League.

In 2005, just after Liverpool won the Champions League in Istanbul, Rickie Lambert walked into a tattoo parlour and had the clubs Liver bird crest inked onto his shoulder. He was turning out for Rochdale in those days, having been released by his boyhood heroes as a 15-year-old and then by Blackpool.

I really dislike Liverpool but am very happy for someone like him. Sums up why he jumped at the chance to move there.

There is no way Wenger would pay Giroud and Lukaku

Yeah, I can't see him playing two strikers, plus Lukaku doesn't suit their style.

Sanogo didn't even start an EPL game this season

But I think of the 8 times he got on the pitch he partnered Giroud in 6 of them.

Yeah, I can't see him playing two strikers, plus Lukaku doesn't suit their style.

We played our best football this season in a 4-4-2 formation. As the season wore on Wenger turned to it quite a bit. From halfway through the second half of the Cup final we set up 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 for the rest of the game.

But you're right when you say that Arsene seems to reluctant to buy a striker. Even during the Suarez chase last year we only seemed to be going through the motions most of the time.

If you switched to 4-4-2 in the later stages of the season than it was your worst football. You guys were great early and finished the season very poorly. I didnt watch enough Arsenal games to comment on actual formations

Cutting it up at Real Sociedad, Atletico wanted to buy him to replace Costa apparently.
