It's not that he doesn't rate him, he doesn't fit in with the style/system he wants to play. Hazard, Oscar and Willian are no mugs(I would start these guys over Mata too now) and where we are sitting on the table it's hard to argue that Jose is wrong.

Oscar is a surprisingly good tackler too. Mata can and has played on the left before in a 4-3-3. Plenty of options with him in the squad and with a very good DM he could play in the middle too.

        Re: EPL/UEFA Transfer Rumors/Updates/Announcements

Hazard owns the left and quite rightly. Mata has been tried on the right, but just wasn't effective. Willian has grabbed that spot with both hands and aint letting go it seems.

He's never played in the CM, at Chelsea (at Valencia he did play up top a few times) and I can't see that changing as he's not suited to play there. Matic-Ramires is going to be our big game pivot, with Lampard, Luiz and Mikel to rotate through.

Would be very happy to keep Mata as a squad player, but I think he's above that and deserves to be a first 11 player at a big club. Plus if he wants to go to Rio he needs to be starting and playing well.

Im talking more about at United and the options he could provide. At Chelsea he is pretty much finished as he won't develop a defensive game.

He played out on the left a fair bit for Valencia and did it very well.

He did that in his first year at the Blues too and was player of the season.

Can't see him playing in the CM in the EPL myself

I think he could much in the way that Eriksen has done it a little and how Modric did it at times. Would need a very strong player next to him though which United dont have anyway unless Fellani becomes a tough midfielder.

Sounds like Mata to United is done for £37mil.

Will be interesting to see this play out for Chelsea and who they have the money earmarked for

                    Good buy for Utd.

                    Mata is all class.

                      Re: EPL/UEFA Transfer Rumors/Updates/Announcements

Yep, should be a great buy. As long as Moyes just lets Mata float around and do his thing.

Salah coming in from Basle to take Mata's spot on the bench. Looks a real Mourinho type of player. Barkley from Everton is apparently who we will be spending the Mata money on in the summer.

                      Essien looks goneski as well.

And if Mata can help take points off Arsenal and City this transfer may pay for it's self.

Could always come back to bite us(don't think it will), but I'm glad he's still in the EPL.

Common sense says an agreement must have be made about Rooney(otherwise WTF Chelsea), so it should be a win win for both clubs after this transfer is fully played out in the summer.

Be interesting to see how Moyes goes fitting Mata, Rooney, Januzaj and Kawaga into the side.

You would think Kagawa would be sold as he's obsolete with Mata in the team. Hopefully he doesn't take game time away from Januzaj as he's been a real find this season.

I'd say Kagawa will be sold.
