        How good is sport!
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Amazing. Gave them next to no chance. Glad they proved me wrong. So happy.

I'm going to be a bit tired today after getting up at 4am but it was worth it.

The suspense of World Cup qualifying wont be the same going forward with 48 teams (8 from Asia) we really shouldn't be in any danger of missing out.

I am no Arnold fan but he pulled some brave tactical moves and substitutions today, which gave us the best possible chance to get the result against a more talented opponent. He deserves the kudos for getting an ordinary squad to another WC. We were poor through the last few rounds of qualifying but we sharpened right up for these 2 sudden death matches.

Also 16 away matches in qualifying and only 4 at home made it a very difficult pathway to qualification. Underrated effort just to make it.

Huge effort for us to qualify after it was looking shaky there. Hopefully we can surprise a few at the World Cup.

Crazy that our group from the last world cup was France, Denmark and Peru.

Love it! The English press and football loving public work themselves into a lather whenever they beat San Marino or Andorra then turn on themselves whenever they get thrashed at home by a super power like Hungary, lol! It's great entertainment.
England needed a win to keep their UEFA Nations League campaign alive but were thrashed 4-0 by Hungary. John Stones was sent off and Molineux turned on Gareth Southgate.

Meanwhile some of the big boys are beginning to flex some muscle. The Dutch giving the fancied Belgium a recent thumping. A regenerated Croatia with only 2 regular players from their 2018 World Cup team in it beating France. Finally Germany smashing Italy.

Can't wait for the World Cup.

Hows the shithousery from Redmayne, tossing the opposition keepers water bottle into the crowd at the start of the shootout. The water bottle had all the penalty tips written on it. Haha.

Has Graham Arnold done particularly well to get this team though?
I'm not sure the public and the media had embraced him and I imagine the calls to dump him would be coming quickly if we didn't win.
