Only two batsmen made (very slightly) more than 200 runs for their 5 matches.
And they had no bowlers with an economy rate of less then 5.25 (NZ have 5, Australia 4 - below that mark). And the only time any of their bowlers took more than 2 wickets in an innings - was when Finn got 5/71 v Australia (so he got smashed and got a handful of late wickets when we were throwing the bat in the last over).
Put simply - they had no individual stand up for the tournament.
There was a bit of discussion about how good Sangakarra is on here, any changed minds?
Wasn't the central premise of the debate that his record is inflated by piling on huge scores against minnows in artifically doctored conditions for batsmen?
Not sure centuries against Bangladesh, Scotland, and a pitiful England in matches where 350+ is a par score does much to dispel that. His hundred against Australia was good, then again Australia made nearly 400 batting first.
