The race for talent in the ammos is fierce. My club when it was in B-section the year after I retired tried to get an ex-AFL player of dubious character to play for them.......even asked me to try and secure him a job. He had no connection to the school, or anyone there really, whilst having a reputation that preceded him.

Funny story actually, when I called and started asking him questions about his work experience and what he wanted to do he admitted his girlfriend's mum did his CV for him and didn't really know what was written on it.

Difficult to think Cal Ward would be left out of the side this year if he's fit. He's a machine and will deliver unless he really slows down.
