The 2 from North are interesting. Daw could potentially give us some ruck depth, although the upcoming rape trial is a major worry. Harper was linked to us a year ago as part of a potential trade for Cooney that didn't eventuate when he stupidly choose Essendon over North.

Daw could be good cover in the crap ruckman and not really a forward either department. It would possibly mean that I would see less people wearing North Melbourne T-Shirts in the middle of Footscray too which would be a bonus. Like others have said the up coming legal proceedings is a worry.

Along with Harper another player we have shown interest in in he past is Matt Dea. I wonder if we will look at either as a mature age rookie?

I've never liked Dea. I don't trust people with surnames that look unfinished.

We could do worse than Gorringe as ruck depth but not sure he passes the no dickhead test.

Port must be spewing. They almost traded Lobbe to us for pick 11, saved his salary and could have got Gorringe in as backup to Ryder for nothing after trying to trade him in last year.

You'd have to think they would have enquired about him in discussions during trade week if they were still interested.
He is probably worth having a chat to but I don't think he is a great prospect. Doubts on his character could be telling.
