I'd love for the club to be open and honest about the handling of this situation one day. I get personal matters should be kept private but the media has blasted this story all year. If Marra was injuired during pre-season and not able to play, i wonder how much media would've been reported meaning his trade value would be high considering the hype/potential/1st pick.

The media has significantly reduced our hand here.

I don't think clubs get their intel from the media. I imagine clubs have a fair idea what's going on with any players they are interested in and have far better information than the public have.

The only one responsible for tanking Marra's value is Marra.

BAD doesn't need skin folds, he can pick a persons weight within a few hundred grams just by looking at a low resolution photo. Used to make a killing with travelling carnivals.

Are Carlton allowed to trade their SOS compo pick? If so our pick 33 and Buku for that pick? Unders or overs? That way we should get another pick in before the Darcy bid.

They have 2nd rounder that would okay with me.
So perhaps something like we give pick 32 for Budarick and we get 35 for Marra.
We then add 35 to our pick 11 to get pick 6 off them.
It's a shame we don't have bulldogtragic here, there was no one better that sorting through all those trade machinations and making sense of them.
