I'm not sure we are determined to get rid of him but if there are 4 clubs interested in him somehow his manager is letting those clubs know he could be tempted without notifying us.

It feels like it’s a pretty mutual decoupling despite what Power said.

He has 2 years to go on what would be a substantial contract so I suppose if we were willing to contribute part of that to get a deal done it will flag how contented we actually are to move him out.

Collingwood is expected to pay a meaningful portion of the remaining five years of Grundy's contract, but when the Grundy trade is completed could also depend on what the Demons get back for Jackson”
Further to this Grundy is willing to take a pay cut!

Supposedly Logue on 750K+ at North.

I was happy to go for him but probably not at that price. Maybe if he was 200cm tall...

They have to pay someone. Corr is on $600k there.
Logue is an incredible athlete but does seem more 'athlete playing football' from the bits of games I've seen.

That’s a big problem for them paying the minimum required. Some will be notionally overpaid. If I recall correctly we paid 2/3 of Griffen first year at GWS as we need to spend it, and then front loaded Boyd from the next season.

I’d want to be overpaid to toil away at North.

                  F2nd, F3rd & F4th for Logue and Tucker and Freo's F3rd.

Pretty handy deal for North. The Future 2nd & 3rd were assistance package picks anyway

Yep, the get 2 experienced players which is what they needed. Good deal for everyone and Freo have some draft capital now.

With Logue and Acres gone and gone early I’m starting to think Freo aren’t bullshitting about Lobb.

They paid alot for Polec as well and he did not work out
I guess they need to pay good money to get players

The Meek trade is the one to watch. They can't afford to trade him and Lobb, even with Jackson incoming. If the Meek trade goes through I think that will kill the Lobb deal. Whilst he remains there is still some chance of a Lobb trade.

Crazy question, but why are we not chasing Meek? LOBB wont get the forward 50 entries aa we bomb it in long fwd plan
Meek needs to games to build his experienxe and confidrnce.

Is anyone else surprised with how cheaply everyone is getting players?

All Freo trades (Acres, Logue, Tucker) have been unders imo, Grundy looks like being unders, Hill while not unders was cheap, I know it isn't a strong field but it is frustrating me how gettable they all seem, considering all the above fill areas of need for us and would have been decent targets.

Apart from the salary cost I can't see why we would target delistable types like Rowe when someone with a lot more potential/ability would likely cost us stuff all anyway.
I should leave it alone but you're not right
