Just about every premiership team lately has recruited a big name that has helped them win. Cameron Lynch Boyd, Danger, Lake, Frawley, etc. If Brisbane win you can Dunkley Neale Daniher.

Brisbane have arguably been the best in the business at it - Dunkley, Neale, Cameron and Joe Daniher.

What is your solution or strategy for go forward?

Best way to start, is stop being pushovers in trades.
We want Coffield then don’t pay more than a second rounder otherwise walk. No talk of ‘commitment to the player’, no.1 is our club.
Dunkley is past but if Smith, English or Naughton want to go, none of this ‘can’t hold him against his will’ or hope he goes to club with capital. They are leave us, get fair reward.

Attracting good players has more to do with what we have at club. I suspect others see us as nothing has changed for the better since the premiership.

What if Collingwood win?

Collingwood are way better at the money ball stuff than us. Mitchell, Howe, Hill, whe, markov and lipinski
Adams and Mcstay are out

Personally, I think Power has done a great job since being in the role. Did the best we could on Dunkley, even though slight unders - no choice other than PSD which would be stupid. Bringing in JUH and Darcy with the picks we had needed alot of negotiating, landing an A grader in Treloar and making Pies pay $300k per year for 5 years was a master stroke.

Other than Dunkley, where else have we been screwed?

Personally, I think Power has done a great job since being in the role. Did the best we could on Dunkley, even though slight unders - no choice other than PSD which would be stupid. Bringing in JUH and Darcy with the picks we had needed alot of negotiating, landing an A grader in Treloar and making Pies pay $300k per year for 5 years was a master stroke.

Other than Dunkley, where else have we been screwed?

Lobb, Stringer, Boyd/Griffen, Lake to name a few recent.

I guess it really demonstrates the two different philosophies. Brisbane's list build has been pretty good no doubt, it's taken some years and it's bearing fruit now.

I think Dempsey and Quinlan was more of a case to pay the bills back then we were one foot out the door of the competition.
Brown followed wallet who would have been in his ear.
Stringer from reports was poison and needed to go and what has he done at the Bombers but Bevo should have been muzzled on this one.
Boyd/Griffen got us a flag and I think Griffen was mentally shot.
Lake didn't want to play forward which was on the cards if he stayed and was looking for greener pastures.
Lobb the jury is out and should be assessed when he retires.
This is just my take and maybe totally off the ball also players having the option to nominate just about puts a noose around the list managers neck.

I hope we have a plan for Khamis because 10 games in the last 3 years and just one this season indicates he has an undefined senior role with us.
