Not guilty. Been nice knowing you AFL. Time for my hard-earned time and money to be dedicated to a pastime that is devoid of corruption and contrivances. Utter disgrace.

Will keep a casual eye on the Dogs because I love my club, but the game itself can GAGF.

Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath

Asada couldn't prove their case. They have 21 days to appeal.

The AFL never finds sufficient evidence of something they don't want to find. Tanking anyone?

This pre-verdict article sums up well the inherent guilt of the club even if the players were found not guilty. Remembering that Not Guilty is very different to Innocent.

Weak. In that case the others from other clubs should be let off.

You were right 'stache. You would expect WADA to appeal to the CAS, where the AFL would have no ability whatsoever to control the narrative or the outcome.

But todays verdict is a very sad day for the code. Injecting players with whatever you want but shredding all the evidence now has the green light to proceed.

I am now hoping it is WorkSafe's turn. Injecting employees with unknown drugs cannot be seen as a safe practice.

Well that's the simple bit out the way with for Essendon. And in a way I'm glad that a case that only ever existed on circumstantial evidence fell over.

Don't get me wrong. I would have loved to see Essendon cop their right whack, but not at the risk of justice being seen to be compromised.

Having said that I hope WorkSafe nail Essendon to the wall.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Interestingly ASADA had also said they're almost certain Essendon were also injecting Hexarelin but couldn't produce enough evidence to get a guilty verdict.

No positive tests, no proof only circumstantial as you say. Very difficult for ASADA to get a guilty verdict.

This whole saga has effectively destroyed many careers at both Essendon and the AFL. The only man left really is Hird. That's a whole lot of damage for a not guilty verdict.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.
