      #standdownhird would look good.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Essendon could have 10 players who have played fewer than 50 games lines up against the Demons.

They include Alex Browne (no games), Kyle Langford (two), Shaun Edwards (two), Shaun McKernan (37), Ariel Steinberg (four), Nick O’Brien (seven), Jason Ashby (eight), Elliott Kavanagh (11), Marty Gleeson (22), Zach Merrett (33, Jackson Merrett (34) and Joe Daniher (39).

While the Western Bulldogs have a similar number of players under 50 games in their senior team, the Dogs have six players selected in the first and second rounds in the 2012-14 national drafts, including three single-digit draftees (Jake Stringer, Jack Macrae and Marcus Bontempelli).

Essendon has drafted five players who have played fewer than 50 games from those two same drafts and not one player was taken with single-digit selections.

The Bulldogss have made the most of their latter picks, which include Tory Dickson (No. 59), Luke Dahlhaus (rookie), Nathan Hrovat (No. 21), Mitch Honeychurch (No. 60) and for this season Bailey Dale (No. 45) and Caleb Daniel (No. 46).

Apparently Orazio Fantasia is "best 22" after 5 games in 2 seasons, while so is Chapman despite looking like he's gone on 2 years too long. Also 2012-2014 is actually 3 drafts Slobbo, and Dickson and Dahlhaus we drafted in 2011. He can't even plagiarise properly such is his desperation to barrack for Essendon. You'd see more impartial analysis on BomberBlitz.

He seems to think that having lower draft picks playing is a bad thing?

Those players listed as best 22 are equal parts funny and sad.

Jobe's 'season ending' injury will definitely help with the back-dating of any potential doping suspension he might receive. Purely coincidental of course

Orazio Fantasia in the best 22 - I thought the comedy festival packed up about 3 months ago

I think we should also apologise to both Robbo and Essendon for "making the most of our latter picks"

The tank is well and truly on. I hate gambling but Essendon would be well worth a punt on the spoon.

And never mind Joe Daniher was arguably the number 1 pick if he wasn't a F/S.

He's trying to make it sound like there's a culmination of events which has put Essendon down the bottom, failing to mention they haven't finished higher than 7th in the past 13 years, and haven't won a final in more than a decade. They've had a host of terrible people running that club, it just happens the worst of the lot is currently in charge and we're seeing the logical outcome.

Hird's not wrong with his original statements, but he doesn't understand that the AFL has actually been trying to protect him and EFC - not destroy them - through its interventions.

He doesn't get that it is his fault, and that he is solely to blame for this mess when it comes to those still employed by the EFC (save for their dubious club doctor).

                        TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I should've trade marked it. But great to know it brings so much joy to the masses.

Boy hasn't he changed his tune - I thought he "wanted the truth to come out" and when it did he would be "in a very good place". That's the problem with lying - you need to lie constantly to cover for the original lie. Perhaps he has sought guidance from this man:

Re: ASADA issues show-cause notices to Essendon players

Jimmy taking another case to court, what a quality human being.

Essendon coach James Hird is suing his insurance company for refusing to pay his legal bill of more than $640,000 over the supplements saga.

Hird's appeal against the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority was unanimously dismissed in the Full Court of the Federal Court in January and he was ordered to pay costs.

Justice Susan Kenny and fellow judges Richard White and Tony Besanko endorsed the initial decision by Justice John Middleton that the 2013 joint investigation by the AFL and ASADA into the Bombers' 2012 supplements program was lawful.

In a writ filed by Hird's lawyers in the Supreme Court on July 31, they claimed Chubb Insurance had failed to pay Hird's trial costs of $573,588.67 and his appeal costs of $68,552.73.

Chubb had denied liability, in a letter dated April 12, 2015, to indemnify Hird for his trial and appeal costs on the grounds that the policy did not afford cover for Hird for pursuing legal proceedings as a claimant; and his legal costs were not reasonably incurred.

A directions hearing will be heard on August 21.
He's an embarrassment to Essendon and the AFL
