Agree. One thing I have loved about WOOF over the 18 years, over other forums. Yes sometimes people breach this, and best to avoid them.

I know we don't like to talk about BF rumors all that much around here, but, there is a little bit of discussion over there about JUH heading for early retirement.

Say it ain't so... I really, really, really hope not.

BT, that isn't cool don't bring PM's into this.

GG was clearly trying to defuse the situation.

The debate on Marra just shows how much we all love the club and the players and emotions can run high.

Get well soon Marra, the supporters are right behind you.

To hopefully change direction here a bit - what will people tell their kids about why Marra isn't playing come the start of the season (assuming that's the case)? I'm not sure younger kids quite understand the concept of mental health. Any suggestions as to how to explain it to an 8 year old?

Whilst I empathise with GG’s feelings I’d like this thread to remain open. I think I’ve read most if not all posts and I think they’ve been to my recollection respectful of Marra. Echo sentiments we all want him well mentally & physically. I hope he plays for us again & falls in love with the game again (presuming he may have lost some/all of his passion for it). In full flight he is a joy to watch - the Dees match at marvel springs to mind when he kicked that miraculous goal from hard up against boundary more than 50m out.
                      Josie :)

                      Our day will come
                      And we'll have everything.
                      We'll share the joy
                      Just like '54 again.

It is difficult. Really difficult. However, you could possibly approach this way.

Young kids know players get injured. They understand that players hurt their muscles and bones and they need to rest and recover before they can play again so they can heal their muscles and bones. Well our minds can get tired and injured too, sometimes when someone is feeling really sad, worried or overwhelmed, they need to take time off to heal, just like a player who has a sore muscle or broken bone. Even though we can't see mental health, the same way we may see a bandage on a leg, it is just as real and important. Taking care of it helps them come back stronger and ready to play again.

On another site I'm on this would be regarded as an attempt of thread shredding by a small minority to derail a discussion that they find difficult to deal with.
Instead of ignoring the discussion they turn anything mentioned into a question about other members integrity and they are okay if it alienates other members.
I guess the derailing has largely been achieved and potentially we have lost one of our finest members here.
