You blokes are harsh. Spends all summer (and half of last year) as a ruck then makes a couple of blues as a defender in something less than a practice game and he immediately sucks?

Who cares what happened against Essendon? It was a hit and giggle pretend match in terrible conditions...let him play tomorrow and let's find out.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

          Dale out.

What if the Hawks sit on Freijah and protect the corridor again? They have 4 small forwards - I'm concerned about how the hell we get the ball out of our D50 if they sit Sicily and one of Battle or Barrass at the drop of the dump kick.

Yep happened in the final with far more talent on the pitch, it happened as early as the match simulation last year and was a significant factor against the Dons last week.

Won't be surprised if we see Baker and Bramble both playing in defence (whereas ideally I don't think we would have both). We need the leg speed to get the ball out of there, and without Dale and JJ it's starting to look shaky.

I don't love that as our season long set up but I do think it could plug the gap for a few games quite effectively. Like you say, speed is key. Fridge can be the composed kick from D50, Bramble and Baker can be the run off half back.

AFL Team | AAMI Community Series

The Western Bulldogs have submitted a team of 22 for their AAMI Community Series practice match against Hawthorn.

Marcus Bontempelli, Tom Liberatore and Taylor Duryea are set to face opposition for the first time this year.

Fresh faces Matt Kennedy, Josh Dolan and Sam Davidson have also been named in the starting line-up.

Tim English will assume the number one ruck role, while Rory Lobb and Sam Darcy will start at full back and full forward respectively.

Jordan Croft, Riley Garcia, Lachie McNeil and Harvey Gallagher will start on the bench.

More of an In Bruges guy?

Good seeing Dolan in there getting a run.

Surprised Cleary made the cut but good luck to him and JOD looks to be the winner of the 2nd KPD battle.

No Buss or Hynes disappointing, more so Buss when we need key backs and interested to see what role Croft plays for us.

Although we have named a squad of 26 plus 4 emergencies does this mean we will only play 22? It wouldn't surprise me as Bevo has declined to fully utilise extended squads in pre-season matches in the past.

So have we submitted 22 or 26? Because the team that is listed on that page has 8 on the bench - will Poulter, Arty, Buku and Gardner be activated at half time?

I quite like this line up, considering all the big outs and the assumed interchanges at half time. Happy to see Cleary on deck, hoping things click for him this year, he deserves a few games in a row. He's not a superstar but I think he is more capable than we've seen so far.
Disappointed about Buss but am hopeful he gets a debut soon. I've largely been off grid so apart from the headline injuries I don't know who is in form and where the players are at fitness and prep-wise. Listed as emergency is something, I guess.

Stoked to see the draftees, and Arty getting a guernsey. Did I miss something about West? Is that why Harmes is at FF?
Hope we can do the basics well against the Hawks and get our nerve back after the EF . One step at a time.

Looking forward to the non priest collar kit.

West I believe has a minor hamstring injury. From what I've seen, every fully fit player except Smith has been named in the squad or emergency list.

That side looks bottom 6 on paper to be expected though with so many injuries. I was really keen for Arty to get a run looks like Dolan is already ahead of him.

30 are flying over. We will play everyone in the 26 for at least a quarter.
