How did you come up with bottom 5 ruckman?

Which number 1 ruckmen last year and this year is he better then?

These player ratings is a very simplistic way of looking at it (and im
by no means using this as my reason) but a good visual representation of just how poor his impact is on a game.

Id say he’s better than Cameron at the pies, whoever WCE decide to wheel out each week, Draper, probably on par with SDK - on current form every other club has a better ruckman than us. Hes bottom 5 (on current form)

Caches votes and BnF votes - his own club doesn’t seem to rate him very highly either

He had a poor season last year but still finished 10th for HTA, and HO but the stats show entire season, and Grundy, Briggs, Meek, Mcinernay all played more games than him.

This round he is equal 4th on HTA (so far)

Easy to criticise him, but when he played a pretty good game on Friday and you still bag him, then that is just plain bias - whipping boy.

Yeah dunno where you got those stats from, he finished 15th & 14th for HO & HTA per game. Bottom 5 as I said.

He was better than last week, I said as much, he was still very poor around the ground and pretty average in the ruck. Poor across the 2nd & 3rd but had a good 4th qtr hopefully he can go on with that. It’s telling that we looked our best in the middle when he was dragged for Naughty our 195cm key forward who competed well.

As I said others played more games, eg Grundy 30 in finals

I think this will be my favourite thread, by the end of the season. It has bite.

English, improved showing from week 1, for sure, up to standard, based on his contract and status, na not yet.
Is it the English we need to finish top 4, nope, however I'm still in his corner to turn it around.
It was a long-way from bad, be fair.

What I really want to know, given that Xerri slaughtered Gawn, does that mean Gawn is washed up and should give it away?

Well if Gawn plays like that for the next 25 games then that will be more like the English situation and I’ll say yes he probably should.

Lets not act like that game was some random outlier that everyone is losing their mind over

Sadly one egocentric player leaves and another steps up to fill the void.

Timmy deserves some slack for wanting to be one of us

I have been critical of Tim at times but we have to remember, he's not the first and won't be the last player with a few shortcomings, i mean Naughton too is on a rather large lengthy contract and he isn't exactly troubling the AA selectors, at times can look disinterested when an opponent has his measure and his goal kicking, well it's a bit like Mitch Hahn having set shots or the great Chris Grant, you just hope for the best whilst half covering your eyes.

The other factor that can hurt Tim is that we don't use a midfield tagger (not Tim's fault), which has hurt us many times and can inflate the clearance numbers, yet Tim is the one who is in the gun and not our own mids for allowing oppo mids to dominate at times, sometimes it has to do with our midfield set up, one of the reasons i like to see a Garcia or West in there is to be an enforcer and not just wait for the ball to come out.
