    Agree with this.

It was almost as if he just discovered that his athletic traits give him a point of difference.

He also ran forward to be an option regularly.
A couple of times he won the centre clearance and still was there to receive the inside fifty kick.

      All of this.

A big test again this week for Tim against an opponent who generally thrives in the conditions we will face.

Hopefully he can match Witts when forced to wrestle, but can keep some separation and use his spring to jump over the top and give our mids the leg up.

Very tough match up, his success in the ruck contests recently has been about maximising his height & reach, ie running & jumping, ensuring he gets front position so he can use his reach advantage. Witts is a big unit, has him covered probably for body size & height.

Keen to see how he reacts, will need to really try and work him over with athleticism and try to stretch Witt’s around the ground. One of the harder match ups going around in the actual ruck contests though.

If Tim can back up last weeks performance even if he gets c;lose to that level it will be huge for us. Witts is a very competitive ruck and this is a big test.

Another thing that’s developed is the ability to draw a free for being shepherded out of the contest, not just last week but over a few times this season.

He does this 100 hands slap move to straight out of street fighter prior to engaging with the oppo ruck.

Not sure I remember it as significantly from previous years.

I have noticed that as well. I'm guessing that because he's been jumping over opponents lately they are trying to hold him out but forgetting they have to actually touch the ball themselves when they do that.

Yeah good call, it’s because he’s finally battling for front position and really getting on the move in the ruck contest. Which he’s never really done, if he’s been out of position in the past he just sort of gives it up, but lately he’s been trying to chop & change and take back front position and his agility is proving quite difficult causing the opposition to block him out illegally.

Another big game last night albeit against Goldy. Last 5 weeks is the 4th highest rated ruck, Jackson ahead but has only played 3 games, big Tim looks back!

On a scale of Tim English to Tim Irish, I had last night at Tim Welsh.

Terrible performance from Tim, he lost hitouts. Simply not good enough.

Don’t know what you’re talking about. Beat Peter Wright 15 to 17.

Buku on the other hand losing the battle 29 to 2 needs to have a long hard look at himself.
