Yep then its down to Bevo and co to tweak, any defender should be excited by the opportunity IMO. Sam has done a pretty good job so far I would have thought its an easy sell for him.

Who is gettable from a key back perspective?

Personally, Silvagni is injury prone, I don’t think we should risk it. But there aren’t many options unless we do something bold and go for Lever, Weitering or see if we can push a Wilkie trade thru.

Unless we see a Jones recovery, we are testing a very inexperienced backline going into the future.

There isn't much. We are apparently interested in Blanck who played good footy pre-ACL but is really just getting back to speed this year in the VFL.

Sam Frost would be gettable. In not sure our collective sanity could take his 2-3 brain fades per game.

          Is a very thin market.

Silvagni is ideal as he won't cost us any draft picks. Wilkie will want big dollars, but I doubt he is going anywhere and maybe Lever was a chance until the coach was sacked. I think the Melbourne players will now hang in there, unless the new coach doesn't want them.

May is the other one possibly up for grabs, for one year maybe two. Do we still apply the good bloke test though?

Forget Cal Wilkie - he will be the next captain at St Kilda according to my St Kilda supporting workmate (close friend of Jack Higgins' parents), is contracted until 2027 and is more likely to have his contract extended beyond 2027 than ever consider leaving the Saints.

This was also confirmed on the AFL website today on the Gettable program.

We are apparently right in it for Silvagni but the pies are still favourites to get him.

To be fair Michelangelo Rucci seems to have been the only one suggesting Wilkie could leave and Ross the Boss gave him a clip for it. Not sure why we gave it so much credence on here.

The best argument we have for any tall defender is play with Sam Darcy not against him.

                        Weitering should be the one.

Noah Balta. Picks would help the tigers rebuild. We all know his off field issues but life is all about learning from your mistakes & making a mens. Is he the type of character to learn from his mistakes?. Can play both ends & has good agility for a big guy.

Please no, might be a great athlete but totally lacking in any form of footy and it seems personal life IQ. Was never highly rated as a person by many of his coaches at the pathway level.

Not ideal, but is McGovern worth looking at in a potentially available option?

He's been decent over the last few years and vastly more durable than the earlier part of his career.
He's a strong mark and gets a bit of the footy but he doesn't appeal to me and we should be able to find better players.
