    Neither of them.

I liked Caleb Graham a few years ago. Admittedly some of his best football was as a desperate ruck play after an injury crisis.

I don't think I could ever bring myself to cheer for Balta. I really couldn't.

Would we consider Wilkie from the Saints? 29, plays big and is an all Australian from 2023. Whilst we're on the path developing JOD,Buss,Coff,Cleary, would someone with his experience give us a Jones replacement for next year? What happens to Jones next year?

I did a quick stat look up and whilst JOD is younger, his sample in def stats is comparable however Wilkie is more established in possession however that's more the way the Saints play.

I feel we're one experienced defender away from being geniune, Barrass would have been the missed link last trade period or do we trust what we've got presently.

Great post, and spot on; if Wilkie is looking at his options, I hope we're at the top of the list!

Butts? Worth throwing the sink at him to help with the defence? I'm still not sold on Silv.

Also, researched a stat the other day which was interesting. This season we have 11 players play every game. Most in the comp and best as far back as i could check. (15 years)

Not sure what to read into that, but there was a level of squad consistency which we haven't had for some time. Other teams high up in the ladder had between 6-8 players whilst lower teams hovered around 3-5.

Butts would be a better option than what we have.
Can't rebound but can defend. He'd slot straight into our round 1 side.

He's an RFA next year so we could make an offer as a "pre-agent". Shepperton boy, just like Alex Keath.

Nick Murray is keeping him out really, who is underrated outside of SA.

I like Jordan Butts, an I cannot lie.

Butts is the one, should be our number 1 target - we need an anchor type. Lobb & JOD would be very serviceable alongside someone like him. No reason we can’t do both him & Silvagni though considering Silvagni is a FA. Butts, Lobb & Silvagni would be a great mix, with JOD and Buss pushing through when they’re ready - which is realistically probably 2-3 years away for their prime as key defenders. JOD would likely play a few games anyway with Silvagni injury history and Lobb isn’t too far from winding down.

Hawks went out and got Barrass & Battle to reshape their defence and it’s paying dividends - Butts & Silvagni could be our version of that

Do we know if Butts is looking around? Or is it just that he isn’t getting a game so maybe he is available?

Butts is my #1 target also.

Would be happy to land JSOS and Butts and Silvagni is pretty versatile and won't cost anything via trade. Butts I imagine would get done for a future 2nd if he asked out and Adelaide let him leave.

Nothing but media speculation at this stage.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

And plenty of it as well. How is StKilda throwing money around like the Victorian government.

Surly having a lopsided playing list will cause them issue to retain talent over the next couple of years

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

It's the Ross Lyon messiah complex driving it. He'll do whatever he can to make a final, maybe win one, and then fade out as almost their most successful coach leaving the joint in tatters. And then he and his failed playing group will strut around like they actually won the flag for the ten years following, much like he and his cohort from 2009-2010 do today.
                          TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Ridley has been linked? Good player, horrible injury record. If we can trust our medic dept, he’d be a fantastic pick up if he can stay fit.

Ridley has asked to be released , but he wants to go up to Queensland and play at the Brisbane lions . So not much chance of getting him .
