We won't be hitting the draft. 2 picks likely, 3 picks an outside chance.

We'll have to see what crumbs are left after the destination clubs have had their fill.

Not doom and gloom, just the norm for us this time of year. Just being realistic.

If you want to hear a whole bunch of rumours it's that he's quietly pissed at the saints with their money splurging and wants to come to the dogs.

He'll stay at the saints though. I'd be shocked if he was a dog in 2026 even if the above rumour is true.

I know he’s untouchable but how do we find an Atkins from Geelong?

Or can Libba like his dad transition into that role?

We tried Gags in that role earlier on the year. I think the larger problem is Bevo seems unlikely to want to tag anyone.

it’s certainly interesting that when Newman and Nick get sat on those club doesn’t win.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

                    Newman always delivers.

Is it worth looking over the past few stronger draft hands and throwing some effort into players who might want to come home or even struggling with game time/development?

A first round pick this coming year might be worth a 2nd round or even 3rd round from previous years.

If so, I'd be looking at Charlie Edwards at the Crows. Bendigo boy, late first round, big bodied mid, playing half back in Crows SANFL. Emergency several times during the year but they picked the older more experienced players at half back ahead of him.

Saint's have upped Wilkies offer, we had to try i guess. Who's the next target, Butts would be handy but does he elevate us?

I'm really hoping Sammy Power has a Boyd-esk trade in the workings.

I don’t even care if it’s a state league gym muscles guy who doesn’t even know what shape the ball is I need us to pick up some sort of key defender that we can wave around and pretend like we did something. Going into 2026 with the same crew of guys is so depressing.

There seems to be a lot more activity this year prior to the trade window

Listening to SEN this morning, where Kane interviewed Alex Cincotta. He has been told he won't get a contract. Is he worth a look at as a replacement for Doc? I don't know much about him, but sounds like a solid player for the backline?
