Not bad Mat , hard to pick any holes in that line up.

What did Williams do wrong to lose his spot on the wing?

I'd like to see more pace and grunt on the wing and think Garcia brings that. It's not to say Williams won't also spend time there, but have started him on the bench for the purposes of my preferred starting 18. Williams will be part of the midfield rotation to allow both Treloar and Sanders go into the middle, so Williams will certainly have wing time.

Treloar on the wing. Will we never learn?? He is an INSIDE MID.
Garcia on the wing. Hard spot to play when you can't kick.

JOD seems to play whenever he is fit so I think we need to construct a side with him in it.

Treloar can play inside and out. He will do exactly that this year, with Richards and Sanders forcing themselves into the engine room.

Garcia needs to work on his kicking, agreed. If he gets that right, he can win his own ball, has dash, grunt and endurance. I like him on the wing.

                Great effort.

My feeling is if we're bringing in Kennedy to be a hard bodied mid start him there.

Swap Truck for Garcia and Duryea will still be a walk up starter. Could chuck Garcia HF and put Libba on the bench to start.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Agree that this has been the case, but I also think it's reasonable to hope that Busslinger puts together a strong pre season and beats him out for the third tall position.

Whichever way it goes out of JOD and Buss, I hope it's because they have performed strongly - not just that they're the better of two average options.

I'm not entirely sure Jones plays all of next season. Liam will miss plenty of footy and I think Buss slips right into the FB role - a role I wasn't sure he'd develop into pre-draft.

I agree JOD plays ahead of him right now, simply because he has the tank to play higher up the ground and Bevo's dream of a 195cm+ wing will never die

Treloar will play inside mid, Libba(one of my all time favs) I have a feeling might be on the outer at times next year.

I get MJP's point on JOD, my question would be should he be an automatic selection? He has something JOD but I reckon he had a poor year indeed and should have played more VFL football.

While I'm at it, I reckon Arty Jones will play round 1 but yeah not ready to select a side yet!

I seem to recall someone on here or elsewhere spoke of FJ having a serious growth spurt during the season.

Is this correct or is my sad old memory playing tricks on me?

If it is correct and FJ approaches key defender height, then that could be an interesting possibility.
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

                          Is FJ actually Joel Freijah?
I'm not sure he had a serious growth spurt but he might have grown 2 or 3cm.

Do any of the new lads have a chance of a Round 1 debut?
