    Re: 2016 Draft Watch

    Two very good games yesterday.

SA were way too strong for Vic Country although it was just an 11 point wind for them.

The players I thought were excellent for SA were:
Stengle - A diminutive forward/midfielder who imposes himself on games. He very quick, skilled and a good decisions maker.
Scharenberg - A tough midfielder who is a natural footballer and is great at stoppages
Graham - A clearance machine who gets a lot of the footy and is strong in a contest
Slimming - Sets up plenty of play and has very good skills
Villis - Gets a lot of the footy and is a run and carry type player.

All of them are essentially midfielders

    For Vic Country
McCluggage - I've mentioned him before but he is a very efficient player with great kicking skills. He's a midfielder/forward.
Battle - A key forward who has a strong mark. His goal kicking can be inconsistent
Ainsworth - A powerful small forward who is an excellent kick. I could see clubs rating him highly
Atley - A hard working midfielder who uses the ball well.
Brodie - Highly rated tall midfielder. He didn't have a great game yesterday but will be very highly sort after come the draft.

I'll do the Vic Metro and Allies game a bit later.

Cox, the KPD from SA, was rock solid. Also liked the look of Stengle, would suit us well.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

        Re: 2016 Draft Watch

The Allies vs Vic Metro was a good game to watch. I was particularly impressed with the Allies players

The players who stood out for me were

Parfitt - A small lively midfielder and forward who can uses the ball well
Perryman - A versatile player who has excellent foot skills and should go early in the draft
Hampton - Super skills and a good mover
Bowes - Another who should be selected early in the draft
Setterfield - 190cm midfielder who wins the footy
Mutch - A genuine midfielder who's strong in the contests

I could add a few more from the Allies. The academy teams will do well this year.

For Metro McGrath continues to impress despite not getting a lot of the footy in the first half.
Veneables is a powerful midfielder or forward.

Allies beat Vic Country today in a thriller. The Academy teams will do well with so many talented players in the Allies already linked to them. Vic Metro beat WA comfortably. Josh Rotham is a name I have mentioned a few time so if you get a chance pop onto AFL.com.au and have a look at the mark he took today.

A couple of the boys didn't play but I like the look of his draft order. I'd have Perryman a lot higher. I wouldn't have Scrimshaw in the top 10 but I can see why he might appeal to some clubs.

Good call and hard to argue. He's a very good player but I wonder if he has a lot of upside to his game? There isn't much that we shouldn't like but just seems to be playing at his near peak now.

He's 18 years old and lightly built. I liked the fact he was moved to the half back line yet still got involved offensively.

Not concerned about his upside as I think he's got enough tools to work with already.

I really liked the look of him last year. Any chance he could play as a running defender?

If we were to trade for a very high pick, the one player I'd really love to top our list off is Sam Petrevski-Seton.

It's a fair question. He had a sensational championship
