If you're drafting for ceiling he looks the type that will turn half-chances into goals.
That type will probably play early and often next year. I'd still be over the moon if we nabbed Rankine though - nobody moves like he does and if we chance our arm to retain him it will be bold but I like it.

Can't think of many that return to SA anyway - Betts was low-balled by Carlton so I don't think he counts.

Sam Walsh player of the series - surely now number one pick? Rankine great game today, should have had aleast 7 but 5 is a big effort.

Anyone know of these so called "off field issues " that Rankine has ?
Seems to be something that's worrying clubs and the way the commentators talked about it they kind of hinted it's something to be worried about.
They went on about clubs would take the more dedicated players in front of him.
Commentators don't usually comment in a negative way like that but it was pretty damning in a roundabout way.

On field he was extremely good today, just the sort of goal kicker I would love to have. Pacey, knows where the goals are, is AFL ready now.

I went to both games, some excellent talent on display. The Allies team has some exciting prospects and SA has about 8 AFL standard players.

It's a vet good draft crop this year but not a super draft in my opinion.

Think he’s got a bit of Stringer strut about him. Also rumours that he’ll simply return to SA as soon as he can similar to Lever coming back to VIC. It’ll be interesting to watch and see if a VIC club pulls the trigger.

Adelaide got pretty well compensated for their loss.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Yep. Pretty much can be put down to poor discipline / commitment on and off the field and issues with his direct family. But supposedly is a ripper lad

And I believe he would be happy to end up anywhere

Similar rumours to Jack Darling in his draft year - more than likely SA types exacerbating the rumours to give them a better chance of trading up to him.

Should we be chasing Dunks' brother?

Kyle Dunkley (Sydney) Dunkley has been named among the best for Melbourne Grammar, and could be heading to the Sydney Swans (despite the Swans deciding not to match the Bulldogs’ bid for brother Josh). A tough, medium-sized inside mid, Dunkley is a strong tackler.

Pretty sure that would be correct. West's last season was 2008 which was Wood's first year on the list but Easton didn't play a senior game that year. Picken missed out by a season.
