If Rankine is there at our first pick, I hope we take him and run. Exactly what our list needs.

He won’t be unfortunately. Can’t see him getting past the Gold Cost first 2 picks, assuming compo for Lynch.

And that still leaves the likes of Smith and Hately around the mark for us

I hope we're able to take Hately with our first selection as he'd compliment our midfield nicely.

If we manage to go into the draft with 5 or 6 picks there's going to be some value later in this draft.

Smith is the interesting one. If he develops the ability to win a bit more easy ball he could be quite the player. He has speed and a great kick but he's often in the packs. A bit more ball on the spread would make him a potentially very damaging player.

Could have 3 smiths in the one side ! And also one in the coaching box.
Bad enough we could have two Bailey Williams as well.

Yep, I think he is a quality player. I like the way he can hit a contest and make something special happen

Good assessment Doc, there is a lot of upside with Smith and he's the kind of player that will find a way to make it happen.
