It's fine, the AFL are ok with it because they bought a beautiful big cliff with them.

Back to the draft - I can see pick 32 sliding 2-3 picks, expecting GWS at least to bid with pick 19 as McCarthey's parting gift to us.

Interesting that GWS approached us for pick 7 but we deemed their offer unacceptable. Either we are really strong on the top 8 this year (including Blakey who we apparently rate highly) or we are fishing for a little bit more.

Isn't Mitch Podhajski the late rookie kid Dalrymple wanted, only to be over-ruled by Bevo when we took Gowers?

I certainly wouldn't mind us giving him a chance.

South Adelaide's Keegan Brooksby (mature Age Ruckman, was at GC a few years) has announced that he will be re-drafted. Hasn't said who by.

Being reported that it's with the Eagles.

Interesting that we haven't been linked with any of the mature agers, nor a ruckman through the trade period. Looks like we may be going in with Trengrove, English and Boyd.

Weird, as Power has said Boyd will play more forward and Trengove play more back.
Was there a rumour we'd look to rookie someone, mature ager? Thinking it's probably a Lloyd Meek type.

Well it’s rumoured B King has done a medical at the club today. Perhaps he will be the extra tall

                  Re: Draft Machinations

I'm sure the recruiting staff has narrowed it down to 3-4 players who either will be or might be available at our pick and now just double checking everything they know about them to reach that final decision. Also makes it less likely we'll be involved in pick trading, unless it's a very small move up or down.

I really like the thorough approach of our recruiting team.

Rozee visited a couple of weeks ago and I believe Caldwell has as well. Now King and Smith.

This sort of matches the opening post which suggested that these 4 players are the most likely to be joining us.

Of course a cracking deal from another club might be an unlikely chance but we seem to have covered our bases.

We're essentially guaranteed a successful draft. Any one of those 4 kids plus West and Khamis is a huge gain for the club

Article on the Herald Sun indicating we might be the club to live trade our pick 7.

Hope we don’t get too smart for our own good

Just watched the highlight reels and read the bios in Twomeys latest phantom draft. I don't think I've ever been this content with a pick 7....

Would love to trade for 8 and 16 with crows of Rozee is available.
