    Re: 2019 Draft Watch

So a quick summary from my perspective. It's difficult to not get a bit excited about the quality of players we might have available at our pick

    In the mix (Media)
    Kysaiah Pickett
    Fischer McAsey
Will Gould (a few weeks back)
    Miles Bergmen
Cody Weightman (a few weeks back)

Mock draft sliders and Media speculation
    Deven Roberston

Cal Twoomey and Kevin Sheehan mock draft
Dylan Stephens at 12, Brodie Kemp at 13, Deven Roberston at 14 and Miles Bergman at 15

    WOOF speculation
    Mitchell Georgiades

Have I missed any other names?

      Kemp sliding would be cool.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Are these full mock drafts (inc. matched bids) or a simple talent order?

Thanks a bunch GVGjr. I wish all the media would do either these full mocks, or just talent orders.

              Re: 2019 Draft Watch

Right now. You have pick 13. Jack Martin (with his $$$ demands) & Kysaiah Pickett. (draftee wages) are both there. (all other wanted players are gone)

              Who do you pick?

I was a big hoper in chasing Martin but............... I think I'd take Pickett

Yep Pickett for me too. I like the cut of his jib!

Martin doesnt want to play for us so we'd be crazy to pick him.

Kemp would be a steal if he slid through to us. Can't see that happening.

If we’ve put the time and work in and think he’s a Cyril type as per the SA state manager, then I’m happy to back our recruiters in.
If you rate Jetta's GFs as poor, you should go back and watch the 2012 game. He was a long way from poor in that game and I felt he should probably have got the Norm Smith.

I assume we'll pick a role player at pick 51 who will be different to our pick 13.

If we get Pickett/Weightman do we look tall again, like Ben Kelly?
Conversely, if McAsey slides to us at 13 who do we then target. Ned Cahill?

                          Lewis Jetta, 3 x GFs:

                          2012: 12 disposals, no goals
                          2014: 4 disposals, no goals
                          2018: 13 disposals, no goals

I’m happy I’m judging his GF record about right. His overall finals record is poor too, with the odd exception. To me he’s like Gary Rohan. Good H&A player, may help win you a few games. But hasn’t been able to take that form into finals to my mind.

Jetta was named in the best for the Swans in the 2012 GF, although he didn't feature in Norm Smith voting.

Happy to take that on board. I'm looking at his overall record which doesn't really do it for me.
