    Re: 2023 Draft Watch

If Curtin goes to North, then I think Sanders is out of the picture for us. It means we will get one of Duursma, McKercher or Watson.

He's really a top end talent and after losing McKay and with Logue going to miss football with an injury why wouldn't they want to bring in one of the better KP players? They've got a lot of depth in the midfield anyway.
I wouldn't pick Watson if Curtin was there.

Not sure how North can justify not picking him with one of their top 3 picks. He would clearly fill a hole at Hawks or Eagles as well.

I really think elite young mid needs to be our priority. We have got enough talls (and small forwards for that matter) in recent years. If were not convinced that Curtin can be that elite mid, then I can understand why we're looking elsewhere.

Clarko is a lot of things, but he’s crafty. I wondered why North wouldn’t put the pressure on WCE with Curtin. North are leaking Clarko spent two hours at Curtin’s home today in a bid to push his people to recruit him after WCE take Reid. So if WCE believe it, if they want Curtin they trade pick one of move on…

Yeah agree 100%. I think they are scared of him being a flight risk its that's simple.

Great vision on Sanders. His neat kicking can set him apart from an inside mid such as Dunkley.

And I think he more than matches Dunkley for marking, strength and speed.

I would only have Watson if none of Sanders, McKercher or Curtin were still there. But I would still be really happy with Watson.

Great position to be in. Really good recruiting to move up so high.

He's a lot quicker than Dunks and a far better kick but he might have a bit to go to match him from strength and marking. In time he should be a great all-round prospect.

Yeah looks tall in his highlights but is a bit shorter than Dunks whose deceptive height (190cm) definitely lets him clunk a few extra than he should be able to.

Yep. Dunks sure is a non-elite tagger!

Trade our pick down 1-2 spots for a premium then take Sanders + an extra pick

Before this year he was more of an inside-outside mid so he certainly can run too.
