Well, Croft regularly kicks "2 goals 4" so should clubs look at a player's footskills when determining how to bid?
I actually think Calsher Dear is terribly underrated on draft boards too. Hawks will quietly grab some good kids this year

Haha, I think you've nailed it Doc.

If that happens you should get a prize.

Maybe a nights stay in Gs tent?

Let's say North selects Curtin at pick 4 and the Hawks stick with Watson at pick 5 would Sanders or Duursma be our preferred pick at 6?

I'd say we will use 4 in the National draft, 1 spot for either a supplementary player or a rookie, and save 1 spot for the mid season draft.

            Assuming we take Sanders and Croft in the ND, I think the remaining 2 ND picks should be specialists;

            Half Forward
            Small Forward

Winger would also be an option (I would have cut McNeil to free up another spot)

the Supplementary/rookie spot for a ruckman
I like your approach, although I think I'd be saying "we need a small defender, a ruck and a small forward - we'll take the best available in those roles with our two ND spots, and then whatever position we haven't filled we will focus on in the rookie draft'".

Duursma from what I've seen. Looks to be built for the modern game.
              Reminds me of Fritsch actually.

My only concern about Sanders, is not about him but more about how we have managed our list, is where does he play? We are already being forced to play inside midfielders MacRae and Bailey Smith in half forward roles that are not suited to them. Add West and Garcia to that conga line. I fear the same will happen to Sanders as he waits for his turn to play in the middle. Libba, Macrae and Treloar may be getting on but realistically could still play at least another 2-5 years.
So if you go best available it is Sanders over Watson and juggle the midfield so he hits his pomp as the currents age. The attraction with Watson is more needs based in that he goes straight into a position of need that he makes his own.

We leave it to the gods.

Twomey has put out his late mail phantom.

For us no change. Sanders, Croft at 15 and no Lual in the top 30.

I'd go Sanders because I think Marra covers pretty much anything Duursma offers.

I can see the faint possibility of North taking both Curtin and Duursma as more desperate needs than a mid. If Hawthorn still go Watson would we take McKercher over Sanders?

I don't get why North wouldn't be interested in bringing in Daniel Curtin as per a lot of the reports.
He's really a top end talent and after losing McKay and with Logue going to miss football with an injury why wouldn't they want to bring in one of the better KP players? They've got a lot of depth in the midfield anyway.

We've done really well to position ourselves in a win win situation at pick 5

I've heard that Clarkson is a big fan and he does have history of high draft pick KPPs.

                                I'm not writing it off.
